Based in Brittany, in Erquy, UCHA is a committed brand of Biogroupe, a collective advocating for organic, plant-based, living... and responsible food!
Our kombuchas, fruit kefirs, and ginger beers, 100% organic, are true alternatives to classic sodas. Fermented with care, made from raw and ethical ingredients, they combine ancestral know-how and sustainable innovation.
For us, CSR is not an option. It guides all our actions:
Social:
- We guarantee salaries 25% above the minimum wage after one year of service.
- We rigorously ensure a balance between professional and personal life.
- We promote inclusion by collaborating with the local ESAT for the integration of disabilities.
- We encourage well-being by offering weekly sports and yoga classes to our employees.
Environment:
- We select 100% organic ingredients, some of which are certified Demeter.
- We produce in 3 workshops powered 100% by renewable energy.
- We save over a million liters of water through our reuse system.
- We achieve a Planet-score of A-AAA for 99% of our products, proof of our environmental commitment.
- We act locally by planting a mini forest in Erquy.
Local economy:
· Sponsoring local events: Landes and Bruyères, Triathlon du Val André...
· Sustainable partnerships with committed producers, favoring local origins whenever possible
· No air transport for our raw materials
Thibault Bernard, operations manager and CSR pilot, ensures that we source our ingredients according to a strict specification. He even travels to meet our partners, from Sri Lanka to Brittany, to guarantee fairness, quality, and positive impact.
Whenever possible, we choose to create our own supply chain, as we have done for sugar, to ensure traceability, quality of raw materials, and fair remuneration for producers. This requirement is part of a broader approach: that of building our own supply chains, as with sugar, to control the entire chain, from field to finished product.
UCHA is more than just a drink. It’s a commitment for tomorrow!
